Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking! Another great place to explore is Georgian Bay Island National Park — nestled in the world’s largest freshwater archipelago of 30,000 islands — there are dozens of hiking trails and countless photo opportunities within this rugged, Canadian Shield landscape.

Perhaps the most popular activity is fishing for lake trout, walleye, and whitefish in the crystal clear waters the area is famous for. Winning one of the many fishing competitions could end up being a summer highlight!

No cottage experience is complete in Muskoka without experiencing the evening after-dinner boat cruise past “Billionaires Row.”

Shopping in the quaint town of Port Carling is a must, and guests can experience local artisan delicacies and craft shops, including a burgeoning craft brewery scene that makes for an afternoon well spent.
